A meeting was held with the students who won the scholarship program announced by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT). Farid Ahmadov, Adviser to the Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Gachay Mirzayev, Manager of Microsoft Azerbaijan, representatives of other technology companies operating in the country, as well as "Whelp" and "Sumaks", pupils, students and their parents attended the event.

Farid Ahmadov congratulated parents and students and gave detailed information about the scholarship program. He noted that the organization and implementation of digital transformation in the country, the formation of an innovation ecosystem is one of the main tasks set for Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. One of the main goals of the Ministry is to turn Azerbaijan into a technology service center in the near future and increase the share of ICT products exported from the country in GDP. The Minister's Adviser noted that the implementation of the tasks ahead requires the involvement of highly qualified personnel in this work. "For the labor market associated with the digital transformation, it is necessary to train specialists with new skills and abilities. We hope that the scholarship program will give a serious impetus to this process. Farid Ahmadov said that "more than 5,000 applications were registered for the scholarship program in the first month of its announcement," noting that the first edition of the project is expected to have about 500 graduates.

Gachay Mirzayev, manager of Microsoft Azerbaijan, noted that the private sector has recently praised the initiatives that promote innovation and digital transformation in the country. He noted that in terms of creating innovative products in Azerbaijan, the growth of people with advanced, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking in the field of information technology is of particular importance.

Representative of Whelp, one of the partners of the project, Jamil Aghasi spoke about the training areas to be organized within the program. He noted that the program will provide knowledge and skills in relevant areas of information technology (cloud solutions, cloud administration, big data, cybersecurity, automation, electronics, various programming languages, UI / UX design, etc.).

Afterwards, a presentation was held on the scholarship program for pupils and students, as well as their parents.

For information, classes on automation, electronics, children's electronics and cloud administration have been launched at "Code and More". Admission to the program continues at Code Academy, Israel-Azerbaijan Training Center, Tech Academy and ICT LAB.

It should be noted that in addition to the field knowledge of IT, the project will also organize incubation and acceleration programs, which are necessary for technological entrepreneurship and contribute to the formation of entrepreneurial skills. One of the main features of the project is the implementation of these programs in the framework of public-private partnership, with the involvement of universities and startups.
