AzInTelecom LLC is commencing the implementation of an amendment to the law "On State Duties" regarding the reduction of fees for the registration of mobile devices.
In accordance with the law, the amounts of the state duty paid for the registration of IMEI numbers of mobile devices will be reduced 30 days after the date of the law's publication, i.e., from December 14, 2023.
From the specified date, the amount of the state duty imposed on the registration of mobile devices imported into the country for personal consumption by individuals, excluding mobile devices processed through customs duty and value-added tax upon importation by legal entities and individuals for the purpose of sale and other entrepreneurial activities, will be as follows:
Mobile devices with a market price not exceeding 100 US dollars, without photo, video recording functions, and internet access - 15 AZN;
For devices with a market price up to 100 US dollars - 20 AZN;
For devices with a market price from 101 US dollars to 200 US dollars - 30 AZN;
For devices with a market price from 201 US dollars to 400 US dollars - 40 AZN;
For devices with a market price from 401 US dollars to 700 US dollars - 50 AZN;
For devices with a market price from 701 US dollars to 1000 US dollars - 70 AZN;
For devices with a market price exceeding 1001 US dollars - 100 AZN.
It should be noted that mobile phones imported from abroad must be registered within 30 days for use in the country's telecommunications network. AzInTelecom LLC, as a state entity overseeing the process, ensures the input, storage, and processing of information on the technical identification parameters of mobile devices used in the telecommunications network into a unified database system.
Additionally, AzInTelecom LLC regularly monitors and conducts detailed research on IMEI codes suspected of duplication. As a result, an IMEI code identified as a clone is assigned the status of "clone," and its usage is restricted.
To obtain information about the status of a cloned IMEI code, you can find the IMEI code of your device by dialing *#06# on your phone screen. After that, you can use the "Check IMEI" service for free on the Single Electronic Services Portal.
